Course Fees

Fee for Service Course Fees


CYTS can currently take enrolments on a fee for service basis. Fees for these programs are $450 per unit plus the resource and materials fee of $10 per unit.

Payments

Fees can be paid in several ways:

  • Lump sum payment
  • Regular instalments
  • Centrepay (fortnightly deductions from Centrelink payments)

Payments can be made via:

  • Cheque
  • Electronic Funds Transfer to:

    • Reference: Student Name or Student/ Invoice number

Sponsorships and Scholarships

Students may register for CYTS Sponsorships and Scholarships to cover the cost of course fees. Availability and eligibility depends on donations/sponsorships received and approval by the Executive Officer.

Refunds

A full refund of enrolment fees and 50% of the resource fee will be given to students who complete and submit a Student Withdrawal Request Form prior to the census date of the course. The census date shall be 20% of the time between the course commencement and the course completion. Forms are available from CYTS Staff of can be downloaded from the website. Students are also entitled to a full refund of fees and charges where:

  • a unit is cancelled or re-scheduled to a time unsuitable to the student; or
  • a student is not given a place due to maximum number of places being reached.

Accountable officers can approve a pro rata refund of fees and charges at any time during the course delivery if students withdraw in writing for reasons of personal circumstances beyond their control. For example

  • serious illness resulting in extended absences from classes
  • injury or disability that prevents the student from completing their program of study; or
  • other exceptional reasons at the discretion of the accountable officer.
In all cases, relevant documentary evidence (for example medical certificate) is required. Details of refund should be retained for audit purposes and the enrolment form annotated to show a refund has been given.
